The intention for this piece is to create a quantum, planetary universe from splintered sounds—without surrendering to chaos. The method was one of accretion: separate, short sound clips are clotted into groups; these groups, in turn, clot into larger clusters. Through this process, granular particles accumulate into massive sonic bodies of high density and weight.

These sound objects are connected in time by repeating, short granular patterns—loops that act like frozen mechanical systems. They enclose polyrhythmic structures and bind the larger forms into orbit. The piece exists in the space between scales.

Some things are too big to control, others too small. In between I compose.
